Charlottesville Tomorrow
I am the Executive Director of Charlottesville Tomorrow, a local, socially-conscious news organization committed to providing readers the context, awareness, and consciousness they need to become better neighbors and citizens. After growing up in Washington D.C., I spent my early career doing community work–– as a school teacher in Pine Ridge, SD, a community organizer in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, and a nonprofit program manager in Dorchester, MA. Those experiences gave me insight into how local news coverage impacts the lives of communities outside of mainstream media audiences. I have spent the last 15 years in various roles in journalism and nonprofit management. My job is to create a business model that supports our plans to grow our audience and impact and values journalists and the community in the ways it should.
