John Bebow is president and CEO of the Center for Michigan, which publishes Bridge Michigan and BridgeDetroit. Launched in 2011, Bridge Michigan attracts 600,000+ readers per month, has grown one of the largest paid membership programs in nonprofit news, and has earned hundreds of state and national journalism awards. BridgeDetroit, launched in 2020, is community news “by Detroiters, for Detroiters.” A previous investigative reporter at the Chicago Tribune, Detroit News, and Detroit Free Press, Bebow has led the Center for Michigan since 2006 and holds a MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan.
