Shannan Bowen is the executive director of the NC Local News Workshop, an organization that helps strengthen and support the local news ecosystem in North Carolina. Shannan's areas of expertise include local news, product strategy and audience development. She has served in leadership roles for McClatchy, Atlantic Media, and other national and local brands. Shannan also consults on product and audience development, and she was a co-founder of the News Product Alliance.
